My wife almost two year old cat will come and go in the litter box to urinate for two weeks and very little at a time. There was no blood, and not crying, but I took her to the vet anyway. They did x-rays and told me that it is free of stones in the bladder or kidneys, so I thought I had a urinary tract infection. They sent me home with Clavamox and said to give her for 2 weeks, twice a day. She was absolutely fine while she was in it, but I ended a week ago and now for yesterday has been doing it again. Think you could still have an infection? What should I do. Basically … It may take 4 weeks of antibiotics to clear up any cats. If she keeps doing this, she has to be in it any longer. Call your vet and describe what is happening and ask if there is a stronger antibiotic that could be. She may need amoxicillian or azithromyacin.

Every time our pet kitten, loves, rubs against us, the normal behavior of the friendly cat. The thing is, however, that will take your hand while you're stroking, and pull up your mouth and I'll take you. Not in an angry way, not in a way that breaks the skin or in an unpleasant way of any medium. None of my other six cats I've done this – is there any way to explain this? We raised him and five siblings since birth, and have never been mistreated in some way, or neglected. Not enough people in the house that if a person does not want to give them attention, there are four more to go for a lap to sit in. Does anyone know of any explanation for this behavior? Has not been neutered, but we are to make an appointment for next week so that he and his brothers other two fixed. As I said, not two adult cats (male and female, not the parents) or any of its siblings exhibit this behavior, and his mother was a completely crazy cat that attacked everything and everyone, including her kittens (who gave him a kick out of the house). Thank you. They were born last year in October, perhaps? I understand that the blame for kicking the cat out of the house – they kept putting it off, asking my mother if I could sterilize and let it go, because I wanted to go to a shelter – that had just got to stop. But after she spent three days at home I was attacking her kittens, actually trying to kill them, I got angry, put in a cage, and had to let go. We have rescued from the beginning, so I guess it was outside its natural place, far from being with people. I know it sounds cruel, but hey, still I have the scars from it. Do you know what I found? My cat is now 6 years old and has done since he was a kitten. They are small bites of love. I tell mine a very firm NO, and stop it.

I have my cat a month ago, I think it is like 4 or 5 months. She is sweet, she is doing MUCH lol eat spoiled and very adorable, but I have questions about their behavior. To "play" sometimes, when your pet gets back and starts trying to scratch and bite the hand. The bites are not difficult of all, I left her, and she tries to escape, but I wonder I'm really really bothering you or is playing? Also, why she is so hyper?. Sometimes she will run around the house, go crazy and be like going crazy spaz attack and I never understood why it is as if chasing the air. . Why struggle with his own tail? I doubt she has any fleas or ticks or anything, but sometimes she'll go at it fighting with his tail, biting and scratching that for a few minutes each time. Thank you. What I discovered was – totally sounds like a cat to me. Our cat 7 months of age actually go up the walls and always spazzing out. Especially after a nap, when "light" and then goes crazy. It's adorable, till it hits a glass coffee table while running through it in Mach2. But it's still adorable I agree with the person who told him to enjoy his playful kitten.

From what I can tell… Aby's are a beautiful breed. They have the personality of a Siamese, so they are independent and very active and curious. They need to be trained well, as they will get into more things because of their intelligence. Very physical. If you don't know anything about cats, I highly suggest that you get a cat at the pound, and start there. Also read up about them. Think of a dog in a cat body.

I'd like to know if you never used to take your dog out for long then you increased it, how did this affect your dogs behaviour?

Were they calmer, more responsive within a week from getting rid of too much energy? That type of thing, also how long were the walks before and how long are they now? Also if you could add details – did his recall improve? Less impulsive behahiour overall? Bark less? Sleep better? Basically any and all differences you’ve noticed since improving their excercise, thanks. Well, I have your answer. I learned the benefits of exercising the dog and behavior many many years ago, with my first dog. She was a rescue, approx 1 1/2 years old, beagle/lab mix. I'd take her for a walk, or what I thought was a decent walk and then we would come into the house and she'd run around like a nutcase, jumping on and off the couch, on and off the bed, just running around. I realized, that was because she wasn't tired. I then started increasing our walks. So our routine became go to the park in the morning, off-leash, chase squirrels, play ball then finish our walk on leash through town. I would say it was appx mile walk. We maintained this well into her senior years. At 12, 13 & 14 years old, she was still in terrific condition, it was only until she hit 15 did she start to slow down and she didn't enjoy the night walks anymore due to vision changes. My current dogs are dachshunds (standards), they’re from hunting/show lines. These guys don't get tired either. I have the same routine with them that I had with my mix. So I would say we do a total of approx 4 miles a day, of course, it's less depending on the weather (very hot or very cold or bad footing due to ice). When we get stuck with only leash walking and our walks are short due to the weather, my guys just don't know what to do with themselves. Besides a good amount of exericse, they also go to obedience class, agility class, obedience run-thru's, so they’re always physically and mentally stimulated, so when they do get home, they eat and sleep. A Tired Dog is a Good Dog is an expression I found to be true.

How do you stop a dog from being aggressive towards other dogs, when ever we are at a dog park she lunges out, growls, barks and nips other dogs, not causing damage but that is not the point. It is very embarrassing. Any ideas? I dont not will not to take her to the park, it is really the only place I can take the dog to walk. Well, I have your answer right here. How about enrolling in a group obedience class class with her? She needs to learn how to behave around other dogs. And you need to learn how to get her to pay attention to you and not obsess on the other dogs. Taking a class will be a real bonding experience for you both, and and excellent opportunity to meet new friends and other dog owners. It will be money well spent and the skills you learn will last a lifetime – make you a better dog owner for all the dogs that will come into your life in the future, too.

Okay,, I’m planning on getting a puppy. This will be my first dog so I’m looking into getting medical insurance. Will this save me more money in the long run? Does the insurance cover the whole bill or partial, how does this work?? Thanks any info will really help. Today I found out that… It depends on where you go. I Have VPI and I pay 30 a month for my cat. This covers a certain amount for what you do. Go to petinsurance. Com and get a free quote and view what you can be covered with. I know they dont pay the whole thing but its better than you paying the whole thing

I’m looking for a puppy does anyone know of any good rescue centres that would come to my house dorchester, dorset or any rescue centres near here???? Thanks SORRY GUYS FOR ALL U WHO WANT TO HELP ME DORCHESTER IS IN DORSET RIGHT IN THE SOUTH WEST OF ENGLAND/UK THANKS. Today I found out that… What about this one at Kingston Maurward, Dorchester? I don't know if they'd deliver but presumably you would be able to have a chat with someone there about that. . aah, sorry just noticed that they don't have the facilties to house dogs at that site. However, there are other shelters in your general area – found some on this page: #dorset It seems that most of your local rescue centres make use of people willing to foster animals within their own homes – so someone may be happy to deliver to you (I expect that they may wish to 'vet' you anyway). Based in Poole: Poole & Bournemouth: (Tasha the Springer puppy is gorgeous.) Blandford: This article talks about cats but at the bottom it gives phone numbers for people who are willing to rehome an 'animal' to call. The only other thing that I can suggest is that you contact your local council (possibly District Council if you have one) & ask to speak to the Dog Warden. He or she will be able to give you advice & point you in the right direction to rescue a pup. Hope that one of these is able to help you & you are able to rescue a wonderful pup.
