We have four boxers, men and three women. One of our men are deaf, IS3. Consistent over the past 10 days my largest male who is 3. 5, has attacked the deaf man under any provocation. They have lived together for a year and a half and had their first altercation until December last year. We kept them apart, but had another incident of attack in May and since then things have been fine. July 15 (after the deaf dog was put on steroids), my big male was struck deaf dogs back and since then has done this 3 times, all of us in the room with them. My questions: What could be the issue of deaf dog medication that would cause the other so aggressive all of a sudden? Also, someone told me that once they start this kind of violence, no turning back, so that euthanasia is my only option? Has anyone had luck with the formation of an aggressive dog and not returning them to aggressive behavior? I need advice. Thank you. Well, I have the answer. I suggest going to a behavior specialist.
